MEDICAL LABORATORY

The Medical Laboratory course was developed in response to the growing need for accurate, timely, and reliable diagnostic services within Kenya’s healthcare system. Since its inception, the program has played a crucial role in producing skilled laboratory professionals who are integral to disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment and monitoring.

Medical Laboratory professionals support all levels of healthcare by providing essential data that guide clinical decisions. The course places strong emphasis on practical competencies in areas such as microbiology, haematology, clinical chemistry, parasitology and histopathology. By integrating theoretical knowledge with hands-on laboratory training, the program prepares graduates to work in public, private, faith-based health institutions as well as in research and public health laboratories across the country.
