Bunsen Burner
BB-1
Generic
Bunsen Burner is a laboratory gas burner designed to produce a controlled, high-temperature flame for scientific work.
Scientifically, it operates by mixing a fuel gas (commonly methane) with air before combustion. This air–gas mixture enables complete combustion, producing a hot, non-luminous blue flame with distinct zones—an inner cooler cone and an outer hotter region where maximum ताप occurs due to efficient oxidation.
In practice, it is used for heating, sterilization, and combustion experiments in laboratories. Proper air adjustment is critical: insufficient air leads to incomplete combustion and a yellow, sooty flame, while optimal air flow yields a clean, high-energy flame suitable for precise experimental work.
